Popcorn Stories

Bet you can't read just one!

In 2003, a website named Folklore.org launched with hundreds of short stories about what it was like to work on the original 1984 Macintosh. I've been inspired by that idea ever since. I'd love more blogs that are just a series of short, punchy, interesting stories.

So that's what this place is all about. Welcome!

Who are you?
I'm a designer who has worked in tech since 2000. In fact, my first day at work was the first Monday after Y2K: the third of January, 2000. As New Year's Eve dawned, I wasn't sure if I'd still have a job when the clock ticked over!

Where's the website?
There won't be one! I'm going to deliver everything through RSS readers. If you're on a Mac or iOS, I recommend the free and wonderful NetNewsWire. You can also use services like Feedly and Feedbin.

I know this is a hassle for people that don't use RSS readers already, but this is my love letter to RSS and the web I grew up with. RSS allows me to spend more time writing, and lets you spend more time reading, than any other format other than traditional books. So I'd like to get back to that.

Ok, what's next?
I'm busy writing the first few stories now, and I'll let you know as things get rolling. Thanks!
